Manchester United’s Diogo Dalot may have been standing out at the end of the season due to new injuries Portugal has suffered recently.
Manchester United manager Ruben Amorim confirmed Diogo Dalot suffered a calf injury and could have been ruled out for the rest of the season. Dalot has been a key player for Manchester United this season, playing in almost all Premier League matches and playing a total of 51 games in all matches.
Dalot was replaced in a 1-0 loss to Wolves last Sunday, and Patrick Dorgu stepped in to his substitute. Dalot endured a heavy workload throughout the season. Amorim said ahead of Manchester United’s upcoming Bournemouth match against Bournemouth: “Diogo Dalot is gone. We don’t know how long he’s going, but he’s all out in the next game. It’s possible [he will miss the rest of the season] But we will see one week a week. ”
Amorim explained that Dalot’s injury stemmed from a muscle problem in his calf, adding: “He has been playing a series of games. We try to manage [it] But we have to protect the players, Dalot felt a little bit. ”
Dalot’s absence has added to Manchester United’s defensive difficulties, Lisandro Martinez has already ranked the premise this season, and Ayden Heaven is not ready to return. But Amorim hints that Matthijs de Ligt may be making a comeback.
