
A policeman was bitten by a Nigerian man in a melee after being arrested at a clinic in Metro Prima in Kepong, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
Kuala Lumpur Police Chief Datuk Rusdi Mohd Isa said the incident occurred at 10.03 am on Friday, April 25, 2025, when the corporal made a distress call about the interference caused by a foreigner in the clinic.
“Investigation shows that the 38-year-old suspect is causing nuisance in the clinic and has been detained by officials from the Kepong Police Department. The corporal was directed to assist in transporting the suspect back to the Sentul Regional Police Headquarters (IPD).
“When escorting the suspect to the back seat of the patrol car, the suspect stood by and suddenly acted positively and refused to cooperate. The suspect then bit the victim’s left ear and cut off part of it.”
Rusdi added that the corporal was undergoing laceration treatment at the Kuala Lumpur hospital and was investigated under section 325/353 of the Criminal Code and section 15(1)(c) of the Immigration Act 1959/63.
