    CBEX: EFCC announces eight wanted deals

    CBEX: EFCC announces eight wanted deals

    The Economic and Financial Crime Commission (EFCC) has announced four people involved in alleged fraud involving millions of naira fraud, involving Crypto Bridge Exchange (CBEX), a digital trading platform.

    The suspects were identified as Adefowora Olanipekun, Adefowora Oluwanisola, Emmanuel Uko, Johnson Okiroh Otieno, Israel Mbaluka, Joseph Michiro Kabera, Serag Michiro, Michiro and Seyi Oloyede, and were accused of fraudulent causes fraud, resulting in huge financial losses.

    In a notice posted on its official social media platform on Friday, the anti-corruption agency asked the public about useful information about the whereabouts of the suspects to step up.

    The EFCC highlights its commitment to tracking individuals involved in cyber-related financial crimes, especially in the rapidly growing digital assets sector.

    “Here is notified that the public, the Commission on Economic and Financial Crime (EFCC) people who want fraudulent activities conducted on an online trading platform called Crypto Bridge Exchange (CBEX) want to be fraud,” the agency said.

    In early April, the digital asset trading platform “collapsed” and subsequently swept $1.3 trillion from investor wallets, causing damage to many Nigerians.
