The Oyo State Police Department found a human trafficking ring in Ibadan, the capital of Oyo State.
Police rushed into the building, where 83 people and a child from a house in the city’s Orogun area went against their will.
Preliminary reports show that victims of nationals considered to be from the Democratic Republic of the Congo were taken to Nigeria in disguise.
There are also claims that as part of the elaborate plan, the perpetrators extorted large sums of money from the victim’s parents and relatives, reportedly in US dollars.

The rescued person is currently at the police headquarters in Ellier, Ibadan, and authorities are conducting further investigations to determine the full details of the case.
