Emir of Gwoza is Boko Haram k! Lled 10 Firewood and Two Wary Ones in Borno

The suspicious Boko Haram terrorists have two alert people and ten firewood keepers in the Bokko Ghide community in the Borno State Gwoza local government area.

Emir of Gwoza, Alhaji Mohammed Shehu Timta, confirmed the incident, saying that the Vigilantes (civilian JTF) was ambushed by attackers along Kirawa Road below Pulka district.

He also said the other 10 victims were those who entered the bushes to find firewood.

The monarch said: “When the boys (rebels) ambush them, k!luitd ten, and left 2 years old, causing life-threatening damage, they went to the nearby bushes for firewood.”

“We buried 10 people and evacuated the injured victim to Maiduguri for medical care.

He said: “It is a pity that two of my civilian JTF members sacrificed their lives for my people and it was also Friday’s K!

He prayed to God to reward their sacrifices and granted them Janatul Firdaus and to their families and communities to bear the losses.

The monarch also praised the state government and the military for their unremitting efforts in dealing with Boko Haram rebels.

“For ten years, they have been trying their best to manage the crisis. We also want the military to deploy technical warfare like drones and other complex weapons to end the crisis.”

He noted that the rainy season is about to settle and the surge in attacks has already made people in the area depressed.

He added: “People are afraid to go to their farmland now, and it’s time to prepare the land before the rain.”
