Nollywood actress Annie Macaulay has a subtle but powerful moment that caught everyone’s attention at the 2025 Headies Awards.
Annie almost slipped when introducing herself on stage and said her former last name Idibia, related to her marriage to 2baba music idol (formerly known as Tuface Idibia).
However, she stopped herself halfway through, never completing the name, and proudly introduced herself with her maiden name Macaulay.
The crowd immediately grabbed it and cheered loudly in support. Annie smiled, with a vibrant energy response, shouting to the crowd “Hey, my single lady,” a move that clearly reminded her that she had completely embraced her new chapter.
Some fans insisted it was to show that she was doing well, others said she actually forgot and she didn’t fully adjust the reality.
