    Lagos Governor Sanvo – Olu blames Peter Obi for poverty in Nigeria

    Nigeria News Nalin Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu criticized former Anambra Governor and Labor (LP) presidential candidate Peter Obi, who was elected in 2023, said he lacked the moral status of speaking on poverty in Nigeria.

    Sanwo-Olu’s reaction said that Obi’s remarks not only demean Nigeria, but also hypocritical.

    Sanwo-Olu defended President Bola Tinubu’s record and noted that, as the former governor and now president of Lagos State, Tinubu has been fighting poverty by investing in education, providing loans to students and supporting small businesses.

    He also praised Tinubu for establishing more than 200 schools and granting student loans to more than 200,000 undergraduates.
