A female prison official has been charged with establishing a criminal relationship with two offenders. Isabelle Dale, 23, is also accused of conspiring to smuggle drugs into a high-security prison, and one of her lovers, Shahid Sharif, is 33, is incarcerated.

Of two misconducts in public office, she is said to have an inappropriate relationship with a wealthy service prisoner first, while Sharif is the second. Both are said to occur between September 2021 and the end of 2022. She has also been charged with conspiracy to carry or deliver drugs in a Swaleside high-security prison on Shepe Island, Kent. Brighton’s alleged accomplice Sallis was charged with one count with Dale and Sharif and other unknown charges. Judge Adrian Turner allowed Dale and Sallis to be bailed on condition that they did not communicate with each other or stayed in Sharif. The three will be held at the next hearing at the Crown Court in London next month.
