    Labor ward chairman kidnapped

    It is reported that unknown gunmen have kidnapped Okasime Olowojoba Akoko in Edo Prefecture – Chairman of Labor Ward 1 in the Eastern Local Government Area.

    Reports obtained Naija News Party chiefs were kidnapped on Ochi-Bining-Birillo Road on Monday night.

    According to the party, the Labor leader, who is also a real estate agent, was taken away when he headed from Auchi to the local government administrative center Igarra.

    He reportedly returned from Auchi on Saturday after picking up his children on Monday, April 28, 2025 to prepare to resume school.

    The incident took place in a famous dangerous area in the Sassaro community, which has a history of violent kidnapping.

    According to a report by the Daily Mail, a source who asked to be anonymous said:Valentine Okasime Olowojoba is Ward 1 Chairman of the Labor Party of Akoko-Edo Local Government Region. He went to Auchi to retrieve his children and wife, where they were on vacation.

    “He went to take his kids back to school to recover on Monday. He was kidnapped on the way that Saturday, and the network that happened completely dropped to the day Sunday.

    “Initially, they were all taken into the bush by the kidnappers, but then the house help, the child and wife were released and they walked with him. His vehicle was abandoned on the road.

    “There was no network that Saturday; it only recovered around 12pm on Sunday, and I learned from his brother that as of Monday (today), they were asking for a ransom of 50 million N.

    “I also learned that some other people were kidnapped in the same area on Sunday.”

    However, the State Police Command has not issued any official statement on the development.
