
The suspected Boko Haram terrorist has seven mourners in Kopl village in Chibok local government area in Borno State and is injured.
The chairman of Chibok local government Modu Mustapha confirmed the attack and noted that the attack occurred around 6pm on Monday, April 28, 2025.
The attack happened several hours after passengers including women and children, including women and children, along the Rann-Gamboru Ngala Road in the state’s Kara Balchi LGA!
He said the rebels rushed into the area on the last day of mourning their loved ones and opening fire on them.
“When the rebels arrived, they gathered for the funeral. We evacuated many people who had been injured by bullets and injured the bullets to the nearby Mubi General Hospital in Adamawa State.
“The death toll may be higher than seven, as some escaped into the bush due to bullet wounds.
Senator ALI NDUME (APC, Borno South) has been condemning the attack, describing the situation as a transcendent imagination of humanity.
“Yesterday (Sunday), I received a call in distress saying that more than 10 members of the alert organization were killed in a community between the Hall local government area in Borno State and the town of Galkida in Adamawa State,” he said.
“My people suffered severe casualties and no confrontation. In the last month, more than 100 people were killed in Sabon Gari, Izge, Kirawa, Pulka, Pulka, Damboa, Chibok, Chibok, Askira Uba, Askira Uba and many other areas.”
