Former Chelsea midfielder John Obi Mikel said he wanted to see Super Hawks striker Victor Osimhen turn to the Premier League.
Mikel responded to reports of Manchester United’s plan to take action, excluding the Red Devils if they don’t qualify for European competition.
“If so, then he wouldn’t go to Manchester United.” Osim’s former international teammate said when asked about clubs that would not play in Europe next season: Bein Sports Live on Football Sunday.
Mikel also revealed that Osimhen wanted to play for Chelsea, but he could not predict his next destination.
He said: “I hope to say somewhere in the Premier League: “I don’t know; we’ll wait and see.” ”
“I know where we (Chelsea) stop on the contract, I know where we are,” Mikel said.
“It’s an easy problem to solve. Last summer, we did all the hard work. It’s easy to pick it up.”
Osimhen, currently on loan at Napoli’s Turkish champion Galatasaray, has been sensational against Galatasaray this season, scoring 21 goals in just 25 league games and also earning four assists.
