India's Anti-Drug Agency arrests one year later suspected of Nigerian drug hawker

The Telanana Anti-Anesthesia Bureau of India (TGANB) has arrested a 30-year-old Nigerian drug vendor, Ekeonyilis Franklin Uchlinna alias Kaleshi.

The Times of India revealed in a report on Monday, April 28, 2025 that the suspect had evaded arrests for more than a year.

His two Nigerian accomplices, Ugwu Ikechukwu alias Emma and Chukwu Ogbonna alias Big Joe (pictured).

Officials confiscated travel itineraries, flight tickets, bank documents and some drug-related information from him.

During the investigation, Kaleshi admitted that he came to Hyderabad in September 2022 to assist drug vendors, god ebuka Suzee and his brother Uche Happiness in illegal business in the city.

His job is to collect consignment from Joana Gomes, who will smuggle drugs from New Delhi and deliver them to hawkers directed by Ebuka, Kaleshi from Bangalore, who is providing drugs to customers near Taramati Baradari.

He was found to have been arrested by the police after waiting for the customer.

Police retrieved a pen drive containing a visa, travel itinerary and other travel-related documents.

It is worth noting that a document contains the names of 411 African nationals who contributed Rs 942 crore to illegal business.

The drive also contains 138 pictures of drugs, bank details and WhatsApp chat.
