Real Madrid coach Carlo Ancelotti reportedly rejected the opportunity to manage the Brazilian national team.
The Italian manager will leave Madrid at the end of the season and will be linked to the person in charge of Brazil.
According to Marca, Ancelotti traveled to London on Monday and is expected to sign his Brazilian contract in the British capital. He didn’t put the pen on paper, but was still believed to be able to officially enter international football when he returned to Spain on Tuesday.
However, he now chose to reject Brazil’s proposal and contacted Brazil’s federal president Ednaldo Rodrigues to inform him of his decision.
Marca’s report claims that Ancelotti’s turn came in amid uncertainty when he had the potential to start his role in Brazil.
Brazil believes he will be allowed to leave reality in June, but it is understood that Ancelotti told the federal government that he will not be able to hold his position until August.
With the latest developments, Ancelotti will not be Brazil’s next manager and can still lead the club World Cup this summer.
Ancelotti will still leave the Spanish Giants by next season and is believed to be considering a huge management offer in Saudi Arabia.
The Saudi contract will report that Ancelotti will receive a net of €50 million (£42 million), which may be difficult for him to refuse.
