Kaduna State Governor Nasir El-Rufai said he was not mobilizing the current government, but was only concerned about prevailing security issues and the overall situation of the country.
He spoke at Kano’s press conference, where he asserted that he was opposing any individual or action that poses a threat to Nigeria’s interests.
He argued that even if his father opposed the interests of the country, he would take him out because Nigeria is important.
He said:Yes. I did not mobilize the current government. This has nothing to do with the current government or power.
“It’s about the economic and social situation in Nigeria. Are you satisfied with the current situation? If you’re not satisfied, let’s work together to find a solution. But if you’re happy, that’s OK.
“Continue to do ’emi lo kan’, which means it’s my turn. Look, this trivialization is a very serious threat to the existence of Nigeria.
“This is not a person who is against the Nigerian government, and if Nigeria’s interests are threatened, I will oppose anyone. Even if that person is my father, I will take him out because Nigeria is more important than this relationship.
“I went to college and got my education. Because of what Nigeria did for me, I could face anyone in the world with confidence. I wanted the opportunity for every young Nigerian.
“Not exists now. This is what some of us are fighting for. If you say it’s because of this, I can say thank you.”
