Justice Rahman Oshodi of the Lagos Court for Sexual Crime and Domestic Violence, sentenced two men, Chukwuka Odinaka and Ikechukukwu Eze to 10 years in prison, respectively, an S3xual attack on minors.
The judge found them guilty of two charges of indecent treatment and sexual assault by a 16-year-old boy who penetrated his anus with his penis.
The state government has filed a lawsuit against them, claiming that at some point in 2020, both defendants used their P3NIS to penetrate the 16-year-old’s anus.
Initially, the defendants were arraigned for infiltration on November 23, 20122 and they pleaded not guilty.
During the trial, prosecutor witness, the victim’s brother and guardian Jonathan Onegwa Ornchi (PW1), provided important testimony and detailed his involvement in the arrest of two defendants he had previously identified.
He also told the court that the victim was forwarded to the International Foundation for Risks (WARIF) for a medical examination after the alleged crime report.
In addition, the second witness was Warif’s nurse Okoi Oluchi (PW2), who tendered the medical report prepared by Dr. Makanjuola (Exhibits A to A7).
Oluchi told the court that the medical evaluation documented extensive evidence consistent with mandatory anal penetration, including a large number of abrasions and bruises on the anus of the so-called victim.
However, the defendants provided no evidence to dismiss the allegation, and they conducted a plea deal through their attorney Tolulope Banjo.
They reached a plea and sentence agreement that required amendment to allegations of indecent child and S3xual assault.
When the amended charges were read to Chukwuka and Ikechukwu, they pleaded guilty.
As a result, Justice Oshodi was found guilty and sentenced to 10 years in prison and sentenced them to guilt.
The judge held: “In acknowledging that the defendant’s request for guilt was voluntary, informed and clear, I hereby find that the defendants, Chukwuka Odinaka and Ikechukukwu Eze, were guilty and convicted and convicted them on both counts of the charges they were charged in the modified information.”
In Volume 1, they were sentenced to seven years in prison for indecent child treatment in violation of Article 135 of the Criminal Code. In the second set, they involved an S3xual attack opposite to Article 263 of the Criminal Code, and they were sentenced to three years in prison.
The court ordered both sentences to run continuously and their names should be registered as S3X criminals.
