As we all know, Congress, APC, Dalt State University reiterated that Governor Sheriff Oberevwori has served as the party’s leader.
This is included in a statement provided to our journalists by Valentine Onojeghuo, APC Delta State Propaganda Secretary.
Governor Oborevwori formally rebelled with the PDP in the People’s Democratic Party and joined the APC on Monday, April 28, 2025.
“This position is not limited by debate or debate. This is a principle consistent with the tradition and leadership structure of our party throughout the federal government, and therefore the current governor of the next country becomes the party leader in the state,” APC said in a resolution on the latest developments in the leadership structure.
“This fact was clearly and unequivocally affirmed by His Excellency, the Vice President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Senator Kashim Shettima, GCON, during the official defeat event. The Vice President’s declaration reflects the official position of the national leadership of our Party and must be respected by all stakeholders and members within the Party in Delta State, as authoritative, binding and final.
“The Delta APC therefore finds that anyone who continues to be arrogant or marches themselves as the leader of the Delta State Party, which is clearly opposed to the reality of the governor as the leader of the party, which is strange, arrogant and reproachable.
“We therefore warn that we will not tolerate any objection or action that attempts to challenge or undermine this fact.
“Any such posture will constitute the root of intentional provocation and the avoidable tensions of our party. This tendency to split will be strongly resisted, and anyone who tries to undermine this position by continuing the march will face severe party sanctions.
“The party is under his ruling of His Excellency, Sheriff Oberevwori remains firmly committed to his leadership as he continues to fulfill his commitment to good governance under the agenda.
“We urge anyone with the opposite intention to stop because the party does not allow a gradual break from sustained growth and sustainable development under the purposeful leadership of Governor Oborevwori.”
