I don't know if people can be famous by praying? - Pastor Jerry Eze

Jerry Eze, convener of the New Season Prophecy Prayer and Manifesto (NSPPD), and the chief pastor of Joy International International, revealed that he never thought that fame came from simply leading the prayer.

Reverend Ez shared in a live show with Chude Jideonwo of media personality that NSPPD is not even the original name of the program and that he initially struggled to watch himself after each meeting.

“In fact, there was no name at first,” he said. “After a while we asked ourselves, ‘What is the name we are doing this?’ So we decided to come for it.

He went on to describe the differences between his own different cameras compared to the dynamic character audience during the NSPPD broadcast.

He explained: “Anyone who knows me knows that it’s not me – yelling every morning. I’m calm. Outside of NSPPD, I rarely speak. I’m quiet about my words. Sometimes it’s hard for people to reconcile the people they see online with the people I see in real life.”

Pastor Ez admitted that the intensity of the broadcast made it difficult for him to re-watch himself. “I can’t see myself after doing NSPPD. I keep thinking, ‘Relax.’ But every time I show up, things keep pushing me.”

He concluded with the motivation to express himself: “I love seeing people smile. I love seeing people free.”
