On Friday, May 2, Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu unveiled two important judicial infrastructure projects, including the Deputy Sheriff’s Warehouse in Majidun, Ikorodu, and a 34-unit residential complex that includes the three-bedroom apartment in the Big Book for Ketu and legal officials.

This housing facility is reportedly the first housing facility in Nigeria and is part of the governor’s comprehensive strategy to strengthen the working and living conditions of judicial members.

At the inauguration, Sanwo-olu reiterated his administration’s commitment to improving the welfare of judicial officials and strengthening the rule of law in the state.

He described the initiatives as government commitments to judicial reform and infrastructure progress.

“Just a week ago, we commissioned a new commercial court at TAPA on Lagos Island. Today’s handover is our commitment to provide more judicial infrastructure,” he said. He said.

The Ketu housing project consists of 34 apartments, assigned to 24 units to the magistrate, and retains 10 judicial personnel.

The governor stressed the importance of providing decent accommodation for judicial officials to support impartial and effective judicial delivery.

“Lagos state has the largest number of judges and district judges outside the federal judiciary. The least we can do is make their work more comfortable and their lives more dignified.

“Only when our officers are well cared for, they can distribute justice fearlessly and confidently.” The above payment.

“Certain issues, especially those related to welfare, require collective action. When it comes to tools and support needed to operate independentlyThe governor of Lagos said.

He commended the Chief Justice of Lagos State, the Chief Justice of the Justice Department, the contractor and the supervisory authority for delivering the project to the project with quality and efficiency.

“That’s how Lagos should work. Every department of the government works independently but works in concert to realize the interests of our people. ” He added.

During Majidun commissioning at the Deputy Sheriff’s Warehouse, Sanwo-Olu said the facility will help maintain assets related to court decisions and support transparent judicial processes.

The governor added: “When you commission a building and it rains, but no drop of water leaks on the roof, that’s the quality assurance.

“We not only build structures, but also lay the foundation for a stronger, more accessible justice system.”
