Arsenal coach Mikel Arteta said Liverpool’s Premier League title had hurt his “big time” and he only watched their championship celebrations “small”.
The Arne Slot man won the league in four games last weekend after a 5-1 victory over Tottenham.
Asked if there was a lack of pain at Liverpool, Arteta said: “Yes, it’s important.
“That was in my belly [that it hurt]Yes. I know it’s a more consistent team and there are a lot of ingredients to win, but it’s very painful.
“I also take this opportunity to congratulate Liverpool and what they do, the management they do, and their consistency. I think they should win completely.
“They are better teams, they have a lot of attributes, they have a consistent team. We will try again. But until that moment next season, now we will have to end the season. ”
The Spaniards continued to explain the pain of watching the Red Army celebrate the scalp.
‘[I watched] A small portion of it (Liverpool celebrations).
“This is probably part of your motivation, it is not the biggest part. My motivation is more focused on other aspects than the others, but watching it is painful, which is for sure.
