In a profound emotional revelation, Davido has a weird similarity between his twin sons and his late son ifeanyi.
Speaking on Apple Music 1 with Ebro Darden, the singer described the similarity as “terror” and pointed out that the loss of Ifeanyi in 2022 was one of the darkest moments of his life.
He shared: “This loss makes you like, ‘I’m out’. I’m just going to relax, take care of my wife, take care of my family, correct my head.”
Davido and Chioma went through a quiet period of secretly tied up after Ifeanyi’s tragic drowning in November 2022. Almost a year later, they welcomed a group of twins in October 2023.
“The boy looks like my son has gone by. It’s scary. It’s like him. We’re like, ‘No, it’s him. He’s back.’
Now, he is another father, and he looks back at how pain shaped him: “Go back from it and get the blessing of twins…it’s just showing that God is real.”
The experience, he said, changed the way he appeared for others: Better to be understanding, more solid, and more inspired to be light through music and life.
