DHQ has arrested two security personnel who assisted terrorists in the northeast.
Nigeria News Nalin The Ministry of Defense headquarters announced that it was reported that two security personnel had been arrested for assisting terrorist operations in the Northeast.
The Nigerian news platform learned that Major General Markus Kangye, director of media operations at the Ministry of Defense headquarters, explained that the two were from mixed forces and they had been working with the troops to fight rebellion in the region.
He further explained that the men were arrested during the operations of Bama, Kukava and Madagali LGA from April 26 to 29.
According to him, military personnel are four terrorist logistics suppliers arrested by the troops.
Kangye described the arrested action as a “betrayal”, warning commanders to sensitize their personnel to act that could undermine ongoing military efforts.
“In a well-coordinated operation in Bama, Kukawa and Madagali LGAS in Adamawa State from April 26 to 29, 2025, the troops intercepted the logistics suppliers of four terrorists.
“Sadly, two of them were identified as members of the hybrid force,” a spokesman for the Defense Ministry said.
He added: “Therefore, the commander should sensitize the hybrid force personnel to avoid conspiring with or encouraging terrorist acts that can undermine our operations.”
Kangye added that in another development, the troops carried out offensive operations with the hybrid forces, including combat in patrols, raids and clearance missions of Gwoza, Dikwa, Dikwa, Bama, Chibok, Chibok, Gujba, Gujba, Geidam, Geidam and Yunusari Lgas.
According to him, during the operation, several terrorists were killed, six kidnapping victims were rescued, and weapons, ammunition, motorcycles and bicycles were recovered.
Kangye further explained that in the north and south, troops had significant success in curbing oil theft and illegal refining in the Niger Delta, saying they had recovered more than 86,000 liters of stolen crude oil, 72,000 liters of illegally refined diesel, and more than 2,600 gasoline.
He said the troops destroyed dozens of illegal refining sites, seized ships, tanks, tricycles, cell phones and seven vehicles.
