Bayelsa State Police Department has arrested suspects of Odeinyefa Ogbolosingha, Chief of PDP and Bayelsa Governor Douye Diri.
The suspects are allegedly going to Yenagoa Local Government Area, HRH Kolibo Amabeli and Samuel Oburo, chairman of the Community Development Committee.
The victim’s M8rder may be related to the crisis in the Calaba community because they refused to acknowledge the establishment of refineries in the area.
State Police Chief Francis Idu revealed this to reporters at an interactive meeting in Yonagaya on Monday, May 5, 2025.
The suspects, Gideon Atama, 32, Bethlehem Nwanlia, 49, and Ovo, 33, allegedly committed the crime in 2022, the CP said.
Idu revealed that although one of the suspects was identified as Perekebi Nwanlia, but the late Atama and Bethlehem Nwalia were still whole, the clever Ovo was still detained by police.
According to him, OVO acknowledged that they were members of the infamous Endurance Amagbein gang, whose leader Endurance Amagbein has since been announced by the Nigerian Army in 2024 by the 16 soldiers of the Okuama Community in the southern government area of Ughelli, Delta State.
Gideon Atama, wearing an Army camouflage uniform, was arrested on her cell phone when dressed up like a soldier, said Ada.
The police boss added: “However, after closely inspecting the phone, pictures of various rifles and voice notes of previous operations were revealed. They also further mentioned the sponsors of the derogatory facilities and facilities in the area when they were involved.”
