Police in Odo state arrested a 41-year-old man identified as Odunayo Olomolatan, 22-year-old Joy Tale, who allegedly attacked his father’s tenant, de@th in Ode-Irele in the Irele local government area of Ondo state on Monday, May 5.
Police took action after receiving calls from neighbors and residents in the area in distress.
Command spokesman Olayinka Ayanlade confirmed the incident to journalists, saying the suspect is currently being detained at the police headquarters in Ode-Irele’s department.
“Yes, I can confirm to you that the lady was allegedly hacked to death in a dispute between her and her landlord’s son. The suspect has been arrested and an investigation is underway to reveal the situation around the woman’s death,” Ayanrad said.
