For allegedly k! South African woman extracting charges of her disabled daughter

A 44-year-old South African woman is allegedly M8RDER, whose disabled daughter’s R@Pist has cleared all charges.

The Eastern Cape woman made a brief appearance on Monday, May 5, 2025 at the Madame Frere County Court of the local municipality in Emalahleni.

Lib reported that she was arrested after the incident in Cacadu early last month and was later released on R500 bail.

Lubabalo Oscar Mabuyane, who participated in the court lawsuit with Social Development Mec Bukiwe Fanta, welcomed the state’s decision to prosecute the authorities.

Prime Minister Mabuyane said: “While we recognize the independence of the judiciary and respect the legal process followed, we commend the NPA for its sensitivity and careful consideration of the extreme circumstances that led to this tragic event.”

“This decision reflects a compassionate understanding of the mother’s protective actions of background and instinctively during unimaginable traumatic times.”

The Prime Minister described the matter as “resonating deep in the province and the country, touching a collective nerve and highlighting the enormous emotional and psychological harm that gender-based violence continues to cause to families and communities.”

He stressed that no parent should be forced to fall into a position where they must conduct physical interventions to protect their children from harm

“We must make sure our communities are safe places where children can grow up without fear and protected and supported women,” Mabuyane said.

“It is a call to all sectors, governments, civil society, traditional leaders, and especially men in our community, demanding that they actively assume the end of gender-based violence.”

The provincial government also promises to continue to provide support services to survivors of gender-based violence and their families, including trauma counseling and access to social welfare programs through the Ministry of Social Development and its partners.
