I’m not leaving PDP, but the alliance will challenge APC and rebuild the country – Atiku

I haven't left PDP, but will the alliance challenge APC and rebuild the country? Attiku

Atiku Abubakar of the 2023 People’s Democratic Presidential Candidate (PDP) refuted his plan to defect in all Progressive Party Congresses (APCs), insisting that he remains committed to the PDP and form an alliance with the inappropriate ruling party in 2027.

In a meeting with female members of the PDP Board (BOT), Atiku highlighted a broad alliance to challenge APC and rebuild the country.

Atticu insists that the efforts of the alliance are not only political action, but also a critical step towards national rehabilitation. He cited historical precedents, recalling the alliance between the Nigerian National Party (NPN) and the Nigerian People’s Party (NPP), which he described as an NPN-NPP protocol to emphasize the feasibility of the alliance.

According to atiku, such a coalition would not undermine the identity or structure of the PDP, adding that the Pan Nigerian movement he is building involves stakeholders from a variety of political backgrounds and regions, all committed to taking back the country.

“The coalition movement is not only a political strategy, but also the need to challenge the ruling party and rebuild the country,” Atiku said.
