
The Niger State Police Department arrested two suspects on allegedly suspected of stealing tricycles.
Abdulaziz Salisu said the headquarters spokesman Sp wasiu Abiodun revealed this in a statement Tuesday, May 5, 2025, who went to a mosque in Dakwa by observing morning prayers and using a tricycle.
He allegedly handed over the stolen tricycle to Abubakar Mohammed to sell it to a buyer in Kasina.
“On May 3, 2025, at approximately 2.30pm, police agents affiliated with Maje Div arrested two suspects who specialize in theft of tricycles,” the statement said.
“The suspect is; Abdululaziz (Abduluzizz 4yr, Madawa Mohammed, Chachi Village, New-Wuse.
“The survey shows that at around 5 a.m. on May 2, 2025, the so-called Abdulaziz went to a mosque in Dakwa to observe the morning prayer. When the prayer began, he ran out of the mosque and ran out of the tricycle with Reg. Gus. Gus16 VC.
“The police stopped and searched the Major’s search personnel to intercept the alleged stolen tricycle, and during the interrogation he admitted that he had stolen the tricycle and brought it to Abubakar Mohammed, who will facilitate the movement of the tricycle to the buyer to the buyer at Katsina State.”
