The alleged armed herders invaded the community in a commando manner around 4:35 pm Tuesday, May 5, 2025, with unparalleled shooting, killing four people.
Gwer-East LGA chairman Timothy Adi punched the incident on Wednesday, saying the attack was unprovoked.

He said security personnel have been deployed to the area to secure the border lines of local government areas to prevent further attacks.
“Four of the bodies were found in the ward and brought the body to the morgue of St. Gregory Hospital. ” he said.
“I urge residents, especially young people, to remain vigilant and to report any suspicious activities to the relevant security agencies
“We must remain united and firm. This attack is a tragedy, but we do not allow fear to rule us. Governor Aria has no rest – the plan is ending these unprovoked attacks.”
The Chairman praised Hyacinth Alia for his rapid intervention and timely support and promoted the rapid deployment of security forces to control the situation.
