Two more people were injured after several road traffic crashes in Agbara Road in Lagos State.
The accident occurred at the early hours of 5.36 am on Monday, May 12, especially at the Iyana era bus stop.
Federal Road Safety Force (FRSC), Lagos Division Commander Mr. Kehinde Hamzat confirmed this in a statement.
It reads: “The unfortunate crash involved two cars: a blue mack truck with registration number AKD 579 XM (commercial) and a silver Lexus sedan with registration number LSR 545 JN (private).
“There are five adult men in this incident.
“A preliminary investigation conducted by the FRSC shows that despite the smooth road conditions, the collapse was caused by speed violations (SPVs) and loss of control (LOCs).
“The violent impact of the crash killed one male adult, while two others were injured.”
The FRSC boss added that the emergency response team arrived at the site within four minutes of the report and worked quickly to manage the situation.
He said the injured victim was immediately referred to Alimoshu General Hospital for medical care.
He expressed his condolences to the families of the deceased.
