Dozens of Boko Haram rebels in the Nigerian army and in the Sambiza forest

In a re-attack against the Boko Haram terrorists, the Forest Army (Ophk) (OPHK) in the Sambiza Forest Forces successfully launched a successful operation on May 11, 2025, neutralizing several insurgents and restoring various weapons.

Acting Deputy Director, Army Public Relations. Headquarters Theater Command Operation Hadin Kai, Captain Reuben Kovangiya, disclosed this in a statement on Sunday.

“In the operation of Ladin Buttu, it was one of the major terrorist enclaves, the troops fought fiercely with the insurgents, using their outstanding firepower and dexterity to neutralize the five terrorists. The troops also restored five full loads of AK47 rifle magazines and other ordnances,” the statement said.

“Further action in the area revealed signs of blood on the terrorist’s evacuation route, indicating that those who escaped were gunshot wounds. Ladin Buttu was a strategic location for the insurgents, allowing them to coordinate logistics and move within the forest.

“The actions of the Hadin Kai leader praised the troops’ heroism and tactical capabilities and noted that exploitation is consistent with the recent operational directives of the Army Chief of Staff to inspire offensive operations in all aspects.”
