Boko Haram has seized trillions of military weapons? Representative Gaji

Yusuf Adamu Gadgi, a member of the House of Representatives, claimed that Boko Haram insurgents occupied trillions of military assets worth Nerra during the attacks at military bases in the northeastern region of Nigeria.

Gadgi issued a statement while contributing to a motion launched by Ahmed Satomi, who is respected in Borno State.

The bill describes the recent attacks in the countries of Borno and Yobe in Giwa military camps, Maiduguri, and Boko Haram.

Gadi claims that the scale of damage caused by insurgents on military equipment is unprecedented.

He warned that not taking swift and decisive actions could have dire consequences.

“I was shocked by what Boko Haram did in Giwa barracks and other military facilities. Nigerians even pose a serious threat to the security and security of the country itself,” he said.

Gadi noted that the National Assembly provided substantial funds to the military for the purchase of more than 40 combat vehicles and other weapons, totaling trillions of naira to ensure the protection of citizens.

“How do we keep the people safe when insurgents can capture these weapons?” he asked.

“The National Assembly is doing its best to resolve security matters, but government agencies must also assume responsibility. The President must investigate the actions of senior military commanders and other security agencies and take appropriate action.

“We also have to call up these agencies to explain why their responsibilities have failed.”

The MP warned that the government and its security agencies will continue to be negligent, which will erode public trust and pose a major threat to political leadership and national stability.

He warned: “If action is not done quickly, Nigerians may be forced to defend themselves and they can start to take us, their leaders as enemies, just as they see Boko Haram.”
