The 3rd Division/Operation Haven troops were intermediated with two armed bandits and recovered weapons, ammunition and other items during a raid in the Qua’an Pan local government area of the Plateau State.
The raid was based on reliable intelligence and was conducted on Monday, May 12, 2025 at the hiding place of a suspicious bandit in Teng Mountain/Forest.
The troops contacted the criminals and overwhelmed them with high firepower, resulting in the neutralization of the two suspects.
The items recovered from the site include an AK-47 rifle, a manufactured rifle that fires 7.62mm (special) ammunition, an AK-47 magazine, 7 rounds, 7.62mm (special) ammunition, four cell phones, two motorcycles and N157,900 cash.
Currently, weapons under review are in custody, while cell phones are under inspection to help track and arrest other fugitive members of the criminal gang.
