Former NFL forward Adarius Taylor was arrested on charges related to child abuse and tender, according to prison records obtained by TMZ Sports.
The 34-year-old was booked for two separate charges: one count of child abuse without injury and one count of soliciting another for Pr0stitution, Lewdness or mission.
Taylor issued a $6,000 margin and was released on Sunday, May 11. Authorities have not provided further details on the arrests and are working to get more information from officials.
Taylor, who played college football at Florida Atlantic University, entered the NFL in 2014 as a vacancier free agent. Over his seven-year career, he has played for the Carolina Panthers, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and the Cleveland Browns. He recorded 140 tackles, including 5 losses, two sacks, three forced groping and one interception. He last appeared as a member of the Panthers in Week 17 of the 2020 season.
In addition to his time in the NFL, Taylor also served in the Canadian Football League. He was born in Adarius Glanton, but later renamed his name to Adarius Taylor in memory of his father.
