A viral video tape surfaced online, showing two relatives claiming to be Victor Osimhen, a relative of Super Hawks, who called on him to go out because he allegedly gave up his hometown and family since he rose to fame.
In the video, the people are described as Osimhen’s family home in his local government area in Edo, identified as Omuyiwa John and Monday Egbe, and declared that Osimhen has not yet returned to his roots or provided any support to those he grew up with.
According to them, they share the same grandfather with the football player and even support his late father, Patrick Osimhen, during difficult times. They recounted how the family allegedly gathered together to help Osimone’s father return from Lagos, claiming he had no money. They claimed they donated money to help bury Osimone’s mother.
One of them said:
“We all grew up here. We went to the same primary school. When my father came from Lagos, he said he had no money. The whole family gathered money to support him. But he hasn’t come back since Osimhen Blew, even though his father died. They were buried in Lagos.”
They expressed disappointment that Osimhen allegedly connected with his family, even becoming a world-renowned football player. One claimed that when Osimhen rose to stardom, the community was filled with joy and reminded of the way the governor of Edo State once brought TV to the palace so that villagers could watch his game.
They ended up questioning why he didn’t come home or expressing appreciation, despite claiming that the family gave his parents when they needed it.
