The gunman suspected of abductors has kidnapped all the progressive conference chairs of Nelson Olaseyinde Adepoyigi in the state.
Adepoyigi, chairman of the APC of OSE local government Ifon Ward 5, was kidnapped on Monday night, May 12, 2025 on the Benin-Ifio Expressway.
State Police Commander spokesman Olayinka Ayanlade confirmed the incident on Tuesday, May 13 that the politician was kidnapped at the entrance to his farm.
He said: “I can confirm to you that Chairman APC Ward 5 was kidnapped at the entrance of the farm along his farmland road.”
“After receiving the report, DPO IFON collaborated with hunters, local VGN and Nigerian Army personnel to launch a raid for the suspect.”
