Cassie’s R&B singer testified in federal court on Wednesday, May 14, when rap tycoon Sean Diddy combed her hair and raped her as she tried to end their decade-long relationship, accusing him of threatening to release clear videos that put her into a cycle of physical and sexual abuse.
Cassie held the second day’s stand at the S3X trafficking trial at Combs on Wednesday, May 14, and Cassie told Manhattan Court that Music Mogul forced him into his apartment in Los Angeles and pedded in the living room after she said she had left him.
She also described how the comb allegedly forced her to participate in “hundreds of” sexual intercourse with male sex workers – events she said he recorded and observed were sometimes days. According to Cassie, she fears posting videos will ruin her reputation. “I’m worried about my career. I’m worried about my family. It’s really embarrassing. It’s terrible and disgusting. No one does that to anyone.”
Prosecutors introduced five still images from the videos, allegedly called the “freak.” One juror was obviously upset and his eyes were wide open when displaying the image.
Cassie’s full name is Casandra Ventura, who filed a lawsuit in 2023, accusing years of abuse. The case settled the figure for $20 million in hours, the first time she has disclosed publicly in court. Following her lawsuit, dozens of other women made similar claims.
Federal prosecutors accused Comb of using his influence as a music executive for manipulating and abusing women. He faces charges, including force, fraud or coercion, and blackmail. More alleged victims are expected to testify at the ongoing trial.
Combs, 55, denied the allegations. His attorney acknowledged that he may sometimes “volatility” but insisted that all sexual acts were voluntary and not part of any criminal business. He has been sentenced to jail since September and, if convicted, may be sentenced to at least 15 years. The trial is expected to last about two months.
Cassie’s testimony reveals the hidden trauma behind a highly publicized relationship. She said she met a comb in 2005 at the age of 19 when he signed a 10-year contract with Bad Boy Records. A few years later, the two began dating.
Jurors also saw security footage showing the comb attacking Casey in 2016 at a Los Angeles hotel, just two days before they smiled together at the movie premiere. The comb later apologized after recording it in 2024.
Cassie testified that she wore makeup and sunglasses to cover up her injuries at the premiere and even hid in a popcorn closet to change her clothes so she didn’t tension her legs.
In another incident in 2013, she said that while preparing for the festival, the comb attacked her, threw her into the bed frame and left shatters above her eyes. She received stitches from a Beverly Hills plastic surgeon arranged by the Combs safety team.
Afterwards, she said she sent him a picture of her injured face that read, “You can remember.” His reply was, “You don’t know when to stop. You pushed too far. Keep pushing. Sorrow.”
Cassie, 38, remains in the stands after her first emotional day. Her testimony continues to reveal what the prosecutor said was a pattern of coercion and abuse that has long been one of the most powerful figures in the music industry.
