Former al-batin president Nasser al-Huwaidi said Cristiano Ronaldo’s move will be announced soon.
According to him, the veteran Portuguese scorer is about to leave Al Nassr for Al-Hilal’s rival.
The huge deal will see former Manchester United striker game at the FIFA Club World Cup, and is expected to be officially announced in the coming days.
The former Real Madrid man’s current deal will expire in June and will become a free agent.
The 40-year-old Portuguese will join any club and reach a short-term contract for the FIFA Club World Cup.
The former Juventus man has been linked to moving to Wydad Casablanca, Palmeiras, Botafogo and Al-Hilal in recent weeks.
As Al-Huwaidi said recently, Al Hilal appears to have won the game to sign the legendary striker.
He said in Kooora: “Cristiano Ronaldo is about to join Al Hilal, and the deal will be announced in the coming days.
“The legendary arrival at Al-Hilal will bring a huge boost to the club’s World Cup, and Al-Hilal will be present in the championship.
“Al Hilal, in addition to Cristiano, will surely sign three international names, which will allow the team to perform at a high level and satisfy their fans.
“Ronaldo is better than Mitrovic at the moment, and I don’t think Al Hilal’s fans are against him. Instead, as long as he adds value to the team and contributes to winning the trophy, they will welcome him.”
