United didn’t waste time as they started negotiating with Wolves defender Nelson Semedo, who began building a strong team.
The Red Devils are close to reaching a deal with Wolves forward player Matheus Cunha, which will be the first signing before the 2025/26 season. The Brazilian striker is expected to join United permanently after Molineux’s outstanding campaign, and the club is ready to trigger his release clause.
The football transfer confirmed that Nelson Semedo’s name was rejected internally, a viable free agent option. Although he offers a four-year extension on the Midlands side, he is expected to leave the Wolves when it expires in late June 2025.
Semedo has made more than 180 appearances for Wolves since joining €32 million in 2020, and he is skilled with Premier League experience to provide depth and experience at Old Trafford. United has not yet reached a formal deal with Semedo, but the chance to acquire two players will make a significant boost in United’s efforts to seek a fantastic season.
