Chelsea defender Tosin Adarabioyo announced reports that he was involved in the Nigerian Super Hawks.
The centre-back was asked about the possibility of playing for the Super Eagles in the post-match press conference after Chelsea beat Real Betis in the UEFA Conference League final. He represents Landland about 14 times between the U-16 and U-17 levels, but has not yet entered the national team.
It was reported that players rejected the opportunity to represent the Nigerian Super Hawk in the past. However, Tosin Adarabioyo denied the reports and claimed he needed time to settle in Chelsea.
He said
“I never turned down Nigeria and never talked about going to Nigeria. Last season, I said I wanted to focus on club football, last year I was at Fulham, now at Chelsea, now I’m my first year and I need to focus.
The 27-year-old has been a big part of Chelsea’s success since the beginning of the season (2024/25), qualifying for the UEFA Champions League and winning the Conference League.
