Local doctor Obi Levi Obieze from Enugu is widely regarded as Ezeani and finally spoke up after being arrested.
It is important to note that he was arrested while trying to escape from the country through the land border.
He faces charges of kidnapping and ritual killing after discovering the body was found buried in a float in his compound.
Obieze was caught by a motorcycle when he tried to leave Nigeria through the land border.
During an interrogation by an immigration official, Obetz asserted that he was composed of villagers who opposed the ascension of the heavens.
He said an innocent man should not worry about the charges because the god of revenge would defend him.
He said in questioning: “This is a political issue, it is political. Fakes to me, because I will be the next one for the king, and some people in my village don’t want me to be the next one for the king.
When asked if he was a local doctor, he replied: “No.”
He added that the president of his village was the one who “grows” things in his compound.
“Due to this royal issue, they set me up. The people who worked for them planted their bodies in my soaking,” Obieze said.
He insists that he is a businessman selling Okirika (second-hand fashion items).
