Chelsea Football Club reportedly had talks with Borussia Dortmund before the FIFA Club World Cup.
The 20-year-old has been in the blues since the January 2025 transfer window as they continue to bid for a strong team. The telegram confirmed that Chelsea continued to move forward from where they left because it reached a deal with Jamie Gittens.
The deal puts Jadon Sancho’s future on loan from Manchester United, and despite a contractual obligation between £20 and £25 million, Chelsea finished the top 14 at the end of the 2024/25 Premier League season.
However, the Blues could decide to opt out of the deal and pay a £5 million exit penalty. Gittens was a part of Chelsea’s childhood and, in addition to Blues, could attract bids from top clubs.
Due to the Club World Cup, the Premier League transfer window will open from June 1 to June 10 and then reopen from June 16 to September 1.
