Mixed reactions as video spread of so-called POS theft suspect

A woman was publicly humiliated by local residents for allegedly stealing point-of-sale (POS) machines and other valuables in the stunning incident in the bustling Oja Oba market in Ekiti State. After Tiktok’s video spread, the event attracted attention, showing the woman’s pain when it was accused of theft.

The video footage clearly reveals the woman’s face as the onlookers face her, shouting out her actions and expressing their allegations. A female narrator in the background describes the incident, claiming that the woman picked up the POS machine from within the market.

Despite her plea for forgiveness, the defendant was verbally hostile because the people present chose to face her rather than let her story listen.
