The chapters of Chelsea Football Club’s Raheem Sterling and Joao Felix may officially end before the 2025/26 season begins.
Transfer news expert Fabrizio Romano confirmed that neither player will be part of the Chelsea team, and Chelsea will travel to the United States to compete in the club World Cup. According to him, Chelsea is looking for a way to sell two players before the summer transfer window is closed.
Joao Felix joined AC Milan in the January 2025 transfer window, while Raheem Sterling left Arsenal earlier this season. However, in the loan spell, both players were not impressed by their respective clubs.
Joao Felix’s 14 jersey will be worn by Dario Essugo, who signed from Sporting for £18.8 million this summer and will be part of Enzo Maresca’s upcoming club World Cup.
Famous names that have worn jersey numbers in the past include Andre Schurrle, Ruben Loftus-Cheek and Tiemue Bakayoko. College graduates Fikayo Tomori and Trevoh Chalobah both carry mantle over the past few years.
