R&B singer R. Kelly is eager to seek release from federal prison, claiming the murder case against him, which was targeted inside the facility.
His legal team filed an emergency motion on the grounds that his life was at a reliable threat as he sentenced him to 30 years in North Carolina for sexually related crimes.
According to court documents obtained by TMZ, the document is a terminally ill inmate named Mikeal Glenn Stine, identified as the leader of the Aryan Brotherhood gang, saying prison officials conspired to arrange Kelly’s murder with the inmates. Sting claims he has a chance to get freedom in exchange for hit rate, and authorities allegedly plan to make the killing an accident.
Stine reportedly informed R. Kelly in March, later uncovered the plan and offered to conduct a polygraph test and testify of the so-called plot. Since the rebellion, Kelly’s legal team has warned that another gang member is tasked with targeting Kelly and Stern, improving security issues within the prison, where several gang branches are located.
R. Kelly petitioned the U.S. Supreme Court to review his case and approve his release from prison in a related move. He added that they were considering relocating him to a family ban, citing these serious security threats and his need to continue working on music projects. His lawyer believes that the danger he currently faces behind jail is direct and life-threatening and requires urgent intervention.
