The mask should be washed and sterilized before use and cleaned again after being damp or damp. Color-safe bleaching agents such as Clorox 2 or Purex 2 can be used to clean with hot water.

Today, we will take you into detail on how to sew nose masks from fabric materials for personal and commercial use.

First use the image below to cut the fabric for correct measurements.

    Supply list

    • 100% sewing cotton fat quarter
    • Sewing machine
    • Rotating tool
    • Self-healing cutting pad
    • Acrylic ruler
    • Sew pins
    • Flower line
    • Wire cutting machine

    Cutting diagram

Seam (tightly woven) cotton 3 layers:

    Adult: 9 inches x 7 inches Kids: 7 inches x 5 inches

Cut 2 pieces of bifold 1/2-inch bias tape 40-inch

    Flowering line 6 inches

    Step 1. Knitted fabric

Put the two fabrics together on the right side. Save the third piece at the end of step 2.

Place the pins in every corner of the rectangle and horizontally mark the center of the rectangle.

    Step 2. Sew filter pockets

Sew straight lines 2-3 inches down from the top of the fabric. Repeat this on the other side, leaving the middle unsewn. Please refer to the photos below as a guide.

Pinch the two corners of the top fabric and pull down the bottom. Do the same thing on the back.

At the end of the tutorial, it is easy to slide the filter into this pocket.

Place the last rectangle on the top of the lining, facing each other on the right. Sew the short sides of the mask, making sure to use a 3/8-inch seam allowance to make a back seam at the beginning and end of each seam.

    Step 3.

Put the right side of the mask to the right and press flat with iron. Pay attention to rolling the seams outwards.

Step 4. Create a pin mark

By folding the mask halfway and pressing with iron, then folding the outer edge to the center, then pressing again.

    Step 5. Sew bias tape.

Open the end of the bias tape and fold back so that the right sides touch each other. Seam a straight line along the short end of the bias tape, ensuring the back seam. Rotate the corners to the right to create a clean finish.

Find the center of the bias tape and place it in the center of the mask. Turn on the bias tape and align the original edge of the bias tape with the original edge of the mask. Fixed in place along the length of the mask. Sew the offset tape to the appropriate position along the crease closest to the original edge, repeating this twist on the other side.

The filter slot should face you, which will be located on the back of the mask.

Optionally cut a piece of 5-6-inch flower thread to create a soft nose. Bend the ends of the wires inward to prevent them from passing through the fabric. Slide the wire into the middle of the top of the mask and slide the wire into the bias tape. Secure either side of the flower tape to the top and push up to avoid sewing on it.

Fold the bias tape upwards and wrap the original edges, secure in place, and sew along the entire length of the bias tape at 1/4-inch bias tape

When sewing, you can use your fingers to guide the biasing tape on both sides.

    Step 6. Create a pin

Create a downward 1/2-inch fold. Secure the fold in place to ensure all Tuckers are facing the same direction.

    mask

    Step 7. Thumb stitch

Use a 3/8ths inch seam allowance to seam along the left and right edges of the entire mask.
