

Senior Nigerian music producer and singer ID Cabasa has added a growing call for justice in the recent murder case in Benue State.
In a heartfelt post shared on Monday, June 16, 2025 through his X (formerly Twitter) account, the respected music executive expressed deep sorrow over the violence and urged authorities to take swift, decisive action.
ID Cabasa reflects on his personal connection with the country, revealing that he once served in Benue and spent some time working in Makurdi “Marktown.” The producer pointed out how frustrating it was to witness the ongoing attacks where he once called home.
“I served in Benue State! I worked there for a while after serving in Marktown. It broke my heart and all these killings happened in the state. When I prayed to the people there, I also urged the government to be responsible for prosecuting these people behind crimes against humanity,” He tweeted.
On Friday night, June 13, his deadly attack on the Yelwata community in Guma Local Government Area, sparked his statement amid national anger, claiming more than 200 lives, many of whom were internally displaced.
