Today, learning to code, no matter the path the child chooses to take, is crucial. Research shows that this knowledge will be important in any profession. As a female leader in technology and a mother to a 10-year-old boy, I was keenly aware of its importance in my professional and personal life. Coding is a necessary quality in this technological era.
Computer encoding is part of everything, everywhere in the world around us. Science and technological innovation are the cornerstone of our global economic system. Our economy, our well-being…it all depends on it.
How can I get started?
It is the job of parents to encourage children’s interests and help them develop life skills. My personal philosophy is to start kids coding early and make it fun!
As we all know, learning is more influential. Children are naturally curious and like to explore. They like to find… pick up things, check them, smell them, touch them, ask why?
Coding is like learning a new language
Learning a new language will teach children another way of communication. It is exciting for children to learn how to communicate more directly with the technology around them. Like learning any language, children should be exposed to coding at a very young age.
Coding teaches logical thinking and enhances written and verbal skills. Children who learn to code better understand how to organize their thoughts. Coding is a language skill that opens the world to children.
Coding helps children with math
Learning to code helps children visualize abstract concepts. Through coding, children learn how to apply mathematics to real-world problems and develop creative solutions.
Coding makes mathematics more practical, more attractive and fun!
Future employment
Almost all work in the future requires a basic understanding of mathematics, science and software. However, as an employer, I still find the challenges of filling in coding-related work.
I’m here to tell you that besides being profitable, the work that needs coding is both fun and ready to be available!
