Popular Nigerian actor Abimbola Kazeem, widely known as Jigan Babaoja, begins with how he overcomes years of physical humiliation.
In a recent interview on Oyinmomo TV, the comic actor with physical disabilities showed that he developed a strong mindset from an early age to deal with ridicule and ridicule.
He shared his growth, he was often insulted and his name, but by the time he was eight, he had already moved beyond negativity mentally.
“What happened is that I’ve taken these things off. I’ve taken them since I was eight. I didn’t know I had a leg injury. The only time I knew I had a disability was when I looked in the mirror, He said.
Jigan explains that he doesn’t consider himself a disabled person because he can be everything a dynamic person can do, including running, jumping and even playing football.
“It’s because I can do everything literally. I can run. I can jump. I can play football. I can do nothing. Even if it involves (sex), I do better than a person with both legs. I love doing all these hard things,” He added.
Encourage other people with disabilities, Jigan advises them to accept themselves and find strength in their own personality.
“My advice to people like me is that they should observe my life. I will abuse myself before you abuse me. No one can tell me that I will suffer. They should accept that that is the way God does His thing.” He said.
Jigan Babaoja has enjoyed more than a decade of success in Nollywood. His “So Mo Age Mi” challenge spread in 2018, further cementing his popularity in the entertainment industry.
