Arsenal Football Club has reportedly reached an agreement with Real Sociedad midfielder Martin Zubimendi.
Transfer news expert Fabrizio Romano confirmed the Espanyol’s transfer on his social media on Friday, June 20, 2025.
He was the key to helping Real Sociedad win silverware in Copa del Rey and played a key role in returning to the Champions League last year. Espanyol has been on Liverpool’s radar since the 2024 summer transfer window, but decided to work with Real Sociedad for another season.
How much does Arsenal buy Martin Zubimendi?
The Spanish acquisition terms were 65 million euros for Real Sociedad. However, it has been reported that Arsenal may pay more for the midfielder, but must pay the payment structure.
Zubimendi is expected to replace Thomas Party of the club currently contracting with the Gunners. The current transaction in Ghana International will expire on June 30, 2025.
