Liverpool Football Club completed the signing of Florian Wirtz, which allowed them to break many records in the summer transfer window of 2025.
The 2024/25 Premier League champion signed the German international team in excellent style from Bayer Leverkusen.
The signing has made the 22-year-old Liverpool’s most expensive signing come from the captain who joined £75m behind the Dutch center and Captain Virgil Van Dijk, who signed in the January 2017 transfer window.

The Reds paid £116 million for the German international team, the highest in Premier League history. Wirtz, who signed a five-year contract, made the fifth £100 million in Premier League history, joining Chelsea midfielder Enzo Fernandez and Arsenal’s Declan Rice and Manchester City winger Jack Grealish’s Moss Fernandez.
