England defender Myles Lewis Skelly awarded his future to Arsenal Football Club by extending his contract with the Gunners.
News of the 18-year-old’s contract extension was confirmed on the Arsenal website on Thursday, June 26, 2025. Lewis-Skelly broke into the first team in the 2024/25 season and established himself as a regular player to make 39 appearances in all games.
The defender said his decision to sign the extension was because he wanted to win the trophy with the Gunners and create a legacy.
“I want to win all the wins in the game. I want to win the trophy at the biggest stage, and someone who always learns and stays rooted is so important. I know I have gained a lot of experience from the game about positive moments, the mistakes I make, the mistakes I make. I definitely have to be ready for the next season. I just want to keep learning and keep improving.”
He is a midfielder at Arsenal Academy but has performed well in the left back and has been free to enter the midfield since taking his place as a substitute in September 2024.
